Abstract | This paper presents a new solid boundary treatment algorithm for smoothed particle hydrodynamics (SPH). Two types of virtual particles are used to model the solid boundary, and information of the virtual particles can be obtained using enhanced SPH approximations from fluid particles. Numerical examples demonstrate that SPH with this new solid boundary algorithm can lead to smooth and accurate pressure field, even for complex solid boundaries. |
